Homework due in Wednesday 23^rd November: This week we have been celebrating parliament week: learning facts about parliament and how to make an impact on it. As part of parliament week celebrations, there is a chance to enter a competition to win a trip to the Houses of Parliament, London Eye and Elizabeth Tower. For your homework, I would like you to construct your own tower, inspired by the Elizabeth Tower. You can use any medium you like – matchsticks, building blocks, clay, Minecraft, or even cake! I would then like you to write 50-100 words to explain your design and the material you chose to use.

Things to think about:

– What does Big Ben mean to you?
– What would you like UK Parliament to focus on in the future?
– How does your design and material represent the UK or your area?

If your towers aren’t finished by the 23^rd, then just hand in you design explanation. Feel free to hand in a picture of your towers if it’s not possible to bring in the actual tower.
