Read all about it!

What an incredible week we’ve had!
First of all, those who volunteered to represent the school at the Mid-Somerset Festival did an amazing job! They’ve been practising for weeks and this week was their turn to stand in front of judges, parents and representatives from other schools around Bath, and perform! We are so incredibly proud of all them. Our Year 6s came back with 4 scores to be proud of- including 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! Our Year 5s, had superb expression and extremely difficult competition and a 2nd place! Our Year 3s built on their success from last year- now with a bit more confidence- and astounded everyone- coming back with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We had one entry in both Year 4 and Year 2 and they were incredibly brave and performed brilliantly - we couldn’t be more proud.
And who can forget World Book Day!?! We were amazed by all of your beautiful- and some not so beautiful- costumes. We had such a fun day, full of a whole range of ‘booky’ activities, to remind us how wonderful and inspiring books can be. We hope that everyone enjoys their ‘new’ book courtesy of the book swap. Thank you to those who came in to help us in the afternoon- write crazily imaginative stories, create beautifully creative comics, create our favourite characters in craft activities or sort sweetcorn from evil peas (it’s a book!)- to name just a few of the activities. Our Year 6s introduced the start of the writing competition today- any topic, any genre, just wonderful writing! We can’t wait to read your entries- especially seeing imaginations run wild today!
