White on the right and ready to go! If your children have been coming home talking about Rekenreks and you've no idea what they're talking about, then wonder no longer! Rekenreks are a bit like an abacus and are used in our Mastering Number sessions. They help the children to see the structure of numbers to ten and to calculate in their heads- no more using fingers to add and subtract! Miss Clack has been so impressed with how quickly Oak Class have mastered using their Rekenreks- 'white on the right and ready to go' is the cry to show that their Rekenreks are ready for the session. 

But it hasn't been all work and no play for Oak Class! Their topic is the Carnival of the Animals and they have been performing an incredible dance inspired by the music. Maybe you could ask for a performance at home......
