  • Science Week Poster Competition - theme - 'Adapt and Change'

  • Please design an A4 or A3 sized poster  with the theme of 'adapt and change', e.g. showing how plants and animals adapt to changing seasons or surroundings, or how humans have adapted to changing technology, climate change and how we can adapt our behaviours to protect the environment, or your favourite science experiment and how it shows change. The more creative the interpretation of the theme, the better!
  • Entrants can be teams or individuals
  • Each school can enter a maximum of five entries in total so not all entries will be submitted.
  • Work must be original - please do not use any templates.
  • Please include your name and age on the back of your poster
  • Posters will be judged on:
  • - Creativity in approach – Innovative angle on the content or creative interpretation of the theme – don’t be afraid to think outside the box
  • - Content – Clear, accurate and informative about a STEM topic
  • - Effective communication – presented and communicated in an engaging way

 

  • Box Writing Competition
  • Any genre, any theme. Entries due in Thursday 20th March 2025.
  • Prize £10 book token for the winner of their category.

 

 

  • SciencePlease continue your moon diary and record daily. Look at the Moon each day for one month. Write down the date and time, and draw what the moon looks like. Shade the circle so that the section of the Moon that is illuminated remains. If you cannot see the Moon at all on a day, record this and also write down or draw why you could not see the Moon, e.g. a cloudy evening.

 

  • Reading: Please read as often as possible (aim for at least five times a week for 15 minutes or more). Remember to read aloud to an adult at least once a week, if you can. Remember you can access lots of free online books through the Wiltshire Learning Resource Hub  using your online account: https://lrh.wheelers.co
