Year 5:

2) Moon diary (see below)

Additional home learning activities:

Science: this month is rather spectacular for anyone interested in stars and planets! Find out about the 'Planetary Parade' here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/articles/clydv5y2xqwo and get ready for the lunar eclipse later on in the month (March 14th/15th) by starting your own moon diary.

Please start your moon diary on Friday 28th February (a new moon) and record daily. Look at the Moon each day for one month. Write down the date and time, and draw what the moon looks like. Shade the circle so that the section of the Moon that is illuminated remains. If you cannot see the Moon at all on a day, record this and also write down or draw why you could not see the Moon, e.g. a cloudy evening.

Reading: Please read as often as possible (aim for at least five times a week for 15 minutes or more). Remember to read aloud to an adult at least once a week, if you can. Remember you can access lots of free online books through the Wiltshire Learning Resource Hub  using your online account: https://lrh.wheelers.co

X-tables: Please log on to TTRock Stars and work on improving your heatmap (15-30 mins a week) https://play.ttrockstars.com/

Spellings: Remember to log on to Spelling Shed and practise your weekly spellings (20 mins) https://www.edshed.com/en-gb/menu

Please ask if you need any login reminders.
