Homework 24th September 2025

Explore my number – Set 24th September – Due 1st of October

For this week's homework, the children will be exploring my number! Please spend time to try and answer the questions below and label your calculations or findings from the number.

Your number is 108!

Questions to consider:

How would you partition this number?

How could this number be an answer in a number sentence? Tell me 5 different ways!

Can we use the add, divide, subtract and multiply methods in our number sentences?

Is this number in any times tables?

What is the sum of this number?

Can you give me a multiplication calculation with this number as the product?

Is it odd or even?

Can we multiply and divide this number by 10 and 100?

Can this number be a factor or multiple?

Is this number a prime or composite number? Show me!

I have done the first one for you as an example of how to record your findings in your homework book :)

Please note the sheet does not need to be printed as your findings can be directly written into your homework books!

Additional homework:

Reading: your child should still be reading at least  3 x a week and we encourage parents to take part in discussions surrounding what the children have read, parents own book recommendations or just their love of reading!

Mental maths: It is crucial for KS2 maths that children have a thorough understanding of their timestables and instant recall of times tables up to 12x12 by the end of year 4. Please encourage your child to spend 10 minutes 3 x a week on timetable rockstars. Their logins have not changed since last year, but a new copy will be printed for their spelling books.

If you have any questions regarding this homework, please either catch Mrs Baker after school on Thursday and Friday or alternately email me - lottie.baker@box.wilts.sch.uk

Have a lovely rest of your week!
