On Friday this week, we took part in the Mosaic Skipping Challenge! All 12 schools in the Mosaic Partnership Trust take part each year to see who can do the most skips in 30 seconds. We have been going skipping mad in the last few weeks to prepare ourselves- skipping at play times, skipping in PE, skipping at lunchtime- any chance we could get. And boy did it pay off! All children did an absolutely incredible job. Special thanks to Sycamore Class who were expert skipping counter and timers- it really is a skill to count how quickly some children skip. The top skipper in the school managed 103 jumps in just 30 seconds (that is incredibly fast). Our top skipper in Reception achieving 40 jumps- showing that even the small can be mighty! We are reigning skipping champions so are waiting with baited breath to see the results this year. Though know that even if we didn’t win, we had a great time keeping fit.

All this skipping has got us in the mood for intra-academy competitions. And how fortunate that the next has just launched! A times table TT Rocks Stars Top of the Rocks competition. Children in Year 3 to Year 6 are taking part in a times tables competition where the class that gets the most correct answers per child will be crowned top of the rocks! All you have to do to add to your classes total is to log onto TT Rocks Stars and play- just a little each day will help us all become times tables rock star heroes!
