Governance
The school's local governing body is called the Academy Community Council (ACC) and made up of local volunteers and parents. Our governors are called councillors and work as a team. They are responsible for the effective management of the school. They work with the headteacher to ensure the school operates effectively and in line with the Mosaic Partnership Trust's vision, policies and the delegated authority framework. Councillors also act as a link between the school and the wider community.The academy community council is accountable to parents, the local community and the academy trust, and they are usually appointed for four years. Their main role is to help raise the pupils' standards of achievement.
The academy community council:
- is accountable for the performance of the school to parents and the wider community
- makes sure the agreed curriculum is well taught
- monitors the school's performance and provides support and challenge to the school's leadership team
- and makes sure the school provides for all pupils including those with special needs.
