This week our homework is for everyone: a statistics investigation.

Homework due Wednesday 17^th June

For the past two weeks in maths we have been learning about statistics: how to draw and interpret tables, line graphs, bar charts and pie charts. For your homework I would like you to conduct a survey and present the results. Think of a question that you could ask, ask as many people as you can and record the results in a table and a graph of your choosing. You could ask- What’s your favourite colour/ favourite sports day race/ favourite fruit? Be as creative as you like.

When drawing your graph, think about the scale that you need to use- or, if drawing a pie chart, how many degrees will be needed for each person.

I look forward to seeing your results! Please ask if you would like squared paper or to borrow a protractor.

Additional Homework:

Reading: Please read as often as possible (aim for at least five times a week for 15 minutes or more). Remember to read aloud to an adult at least once a week, if you can. Spellings: Attached are spelling lists from the past two terms. Spend time playing spelling games or practising any spellings that you found particularly tricky this year so far.
