When: 14th July - 15th July 2017

Where: Box Recreation Ground

Our very own mini festival!

Campfest 2017 will be with us on Friday 14th July and we really hope your family is planning to come along

and join in the fun!

Held after school, Campfest is Box Primary School’s very own mini festival. Designed to celebrate the end of the school year, we hold a special concert on the

recreation ground where the children are invited to perform or simply come along and join in the fun. Just like a real festival there’s a big variety of interesting

stalls for everyone to enjoy as well as lots of yummy food to eat. The fun carries on into the evening so those looking for a complete festival experience are

invited to pitch the family tent on the Recreation Ground. The last Campfest was held in 2015, with over 100 families attending.

We hope that this year’s event will be just as successful.

Our theme for Campfest 2017 is Carnival of the Animals and with it a colourful and vivid event.

To ease us into the festival spirit, the stalls provided us with all things that glowed. Bubble wands, tattoos and

deeley boppers were all be part of the bright line up.

In past years Box Primary School children have entertained and charmed us with their talent. Dancers, singers,

comedians, musicians, magicians, acrobats and poets have graced the stage. The children’s willingness to get

up and give performing a try has been inspiring! There is no pressure to take part so if your child is not a budding

performer, no need to worry, simply come along and enjoy the festival fun.

Auditions will be held on June 8th and your child will soon receive details of the time of his/her audition. Please keep up the practice ready for that big moment

on stage. We can’t wait to see what our talented children come up with this year. Details to follow regarding timing of performances.

There are plenty of jobs big and small to be allocated, from a 30 minute stint on a stall to helping with setting-up. It’s lots of fun and a great way to get to know

other mums and dads from school, so please do get involved as any assistance is always very warmly welcomed.

We need help with:

Set up/Clear up Team - Cake stall - Tuck shop - Creative Team - Stage Hand - Qualified First Aiders - PA - Pitch Markers - Qualified Electricians - Security Team

and more.....

If you would like to lend a hand please contact Caroline Moorhouse to find out how you can get involved we would love to hear from you.

Our mini-fest has gone from strength to strength and last time over £2,000 was collected; valuable funds to support the school’s wide-ranging initiatives.

A great time was had at the last Campfest and it surpassed everyone’s expectations, so let’s aim to top it this time around!
